Pro-fish-ional Aquatic and Reptile Services have bases in Hampton, Peterborough covering the Greater Peterborough area and Bracknell covering the Berkshire area. We work local to these areas to keep our expenses down and be able to offer low prices to our customers. However if you have a larger job outside of these areas, please do not hesitate to contact us, and arrangements can be made.

Pro-fish-ional cover all aspects of pond maintenance, no project too large or small.

To keep your pond in great condition it needs regular monthly maintenance and annually cleaned out.

Monthly we are able to offer all of the following services –

1) We can clean out filtration units.
2) We are able to check water quality levels.
3) We can change UV bulbs when necessary.
4) We can clear string algae (blanket-weed) and tidy plants
5) We are able to change UVC tube/bulb in early spring.
6) We can check your livestock for disease.

Annually we also offer the following services –

1) We can drain your pond and move your livestock (fish, frogs and other wildlife) to a holding receptacle until the pond is ready for their return.
2) All plants can be removed and cutback or re-potted if necessary. Fertiliser tablets are planted in the pot in the spring to aid growth.
3) The pond and edges can be cleaned with a pressure washer (it is best not trying to do this your self as this needs a gentle touch and some knowledge of pond liner strengths is needed.
4) All sludge can be removed and spread on flowerbeds if allowed as it makes great fertiliser.
5) We remove all filters, UVC’s and pumps etc then they are all stripped down and cleaned. Recommendations are given if equipment is old or not up to the job.
